The Arellano High School (Class 1980) Alumni Association, Inc. logo was conceptualized by Ricardo C. Banta, the class Salutatorian, to capture the association’s enthusiasm and zeal. The elements comprising the logo are the three main symbols that project the lofty aspirations of this batch. Now, as we celebrate our silver jubilee year, it is but timely to emphasize its meaning.
1. The number “80” represents the batch 80 graduates composed of the Bilingual, the In-School-Off-School Approach (ISOSA) and the Ordinary classes.
2. The open book signifies the intelligence and generosity of this batch to continue giving knowledge to the students of AHS through the association’s scholarship program.
3. The burning torch symbolizes the eagerness and enthusiasm of this batch to give light to the future generations of the Arellano High School and to carry on with its ideals.
All these are inside the circles bearing the name of the Arellano High School Alumni Association making Class 1980 a confederation of the mother association where its Constitution and By-laws are patterned. It was also the year 2001 when the group was formally established having the complete representation from the three classes during their first ever Christmas party.
