I congratulate my classmates and all the members of AHS Batch '80 on our Silver Alumni Homecoming. This is a very memorable gathering for all of us, an opportunity to look back to joyful recollections, a chance to renew the bonds of friendship and to express gratitude to those who became part of what we have attained.

Many years back, we all dreamed of becoming successful in life and career. We strive to reach those dreams, gained significant experiences and share those experiences and learned so much in the process. Now is the time to share those experiences and be glad that, after so many years, we still see each other and have our own stories to tell. Just like in the old days, we should cherish this moment when we can eagerly share and listen to one another's tale of struggles or victories with our dear Alma Mater as a proud witness.

May our stories reach the ears of the young ones who came to pursue a part of their dreams in this institution and inspire them to strive even harder to reach what they wish to attain in life.

For my part, I am deeply honored to be given the chance to become the President of the Alumni Association after I successfully served our own Batch 80 Alumni Group from a few number to a bigger one. It is indeed a difficult task but I am very happy to serve and be of service to every men and women of the Arellano (Manila North) High School. It is always a pleasure to know that we always find our path to the portals of our dear Alma Mater and I am even more proud that, after twenty five years, we still remember our way back here.

    MABUHAY TAYONG LAHAT!

Today, as we celebrate our Silver Jubilee year, may we not forget to thank God and pray for all the people whom He sent us, to guide us through that adolescent time - our family, mentors, schoolmates and friends.

I congratulate each and everyone of you who worked hand in hand to make this homecoming possible.

Let me share with you this message:

Listen my sons, to a father's instruction;
Pay attention and gain understanding,
I give you sound learning,
So do not forsake my teachings.

PROVERBS 4:1-3

Wisdom is supreme, therefore get wisdom,
Though it costs all you have,
Get understanding.

PROVERBS 4:7

    MARAMING SALAMAT PO!

It is with great pleasure that I greet you on the occasion of your 25th Alumni Homecoming.

This occasion may mean something to all of us because of the multifarious problems our country is now experiencing. To mention a few, we have the financial crisis, graft and corruption, peace and order, etc. We cannot just ignore these problems as these will affect all of us in the future. It behooves us, to involve ourselves in these problems so that we can contribute something good to our country.

You, graduates of Class 1980, can be of great help not only to your dear Ama Mater in particular, but also to your beloved country in general. What you make of yourselves is important. What is more important is your charater in terms of your integrity, honesty and devotion.

Congratulations to the officers and members of Class 1980 and may the Good Lord bless us all.
